Dr. Laura Walsh, OD
Dr. Laura Walsh earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with Clinical Honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006. She also achieved Clinical Honors in both Low Vision Rehabilitation and Pediatric and Binocular Vision. She received her Bachelor of Health Sciences in biology from Quinnipiac University in 2002, prior to attending optometry school. She began her career at the Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was on staff with the ophthalmology department until 2009. She then joined with Galiani Ophthalmology in Doylestown, where she has been for 8 years, and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Walsh has extensive knowledge in the fitting of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses, including multifocals and monovision. She prides herself in being very patient and helpful with difficult or complete contact lens fittings. She also has a special interest in pediatrics and enjoys helping children with their first time contact lens fittings. |
Dr. Walsh resides locally with her husband and two young daughters. She is bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Walsh joined the Design for Vision family this past year, working primarily at our New Hope location. She performs both routine and medical exams, and contact lens fittings. She is very thorough and happy to help her patients with all of their eye care needs.
